31 years ago the father of Bashar al-Assad has killed 40,000 Syrian, within a month!




31 years ago, then-Syrian President Hafez al-Assad (father of the current president Bashar al-Assad's) had done what they know history as one of the bloodiest chapters in modern Arab history and it is that the massacre of Hama's called.




At that time, the city of Hama's was the stronghold of the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood and the center of an uprising against the regime of Hafez al-Assad, this uprising was intended to government buildings.
This event began on 2 February and lasted until 28 February 1982, in which about 40,000 were killed Syrian citizens. Reports by Human Rights Committee show that the number was over 25,000 people killed or between 30,000 and 40,000 killed. While the Muslim Brotherhood has declared that 40,000 citizens were killed. Also, about 1,000 soldiers of the regime of Hafez al-Assad were killed during the riots.
